Short, catchy songs with nice arrangements. Some kind of "neoprogressive rock" from early 80s... This release comes with eight additional tracks from the third group's album, never released before.

DZENTELMENI "Retrologija" Yugoslavia 1968 - 1970 / Serbia 2006 PGP RTS, CD 416224 Total time: 43 mins / 15 tracks This sampler includes all the recordings of the band, which was active in the second half of the sixties in Belgrade. They played covers of the British beat and rhythm and blues evergreens, and their own songs in similar vein. The group have released just few singles and EPs only; this album contains also three live and unplugged bonus songs.

They begun with the covers of The Shadows and The Searchers, but soon they have found their own musical identity. Beat, rock and roll, rhythm and blues, twist... Two men became later the members of famous Korni Grupa.

Very nice rock and progrock 70s ballads, with the cover of "Istina masina" - great song written in early 70s by legendary Time group.

The quintet is lead by the well known YU trumpet player Dusko Gojkovich and Italian sax wizard Gianni Basso. Recommended are the beautiful jazzy ballads...
GORDI "Pakleni trio" Yugoslavia 1981 / Serbia 2005 Rock Express, RECD 052 Total time: 39 mins / 11 tracks Very powerful, simple hardrock songs, played by the trio. This release contains also two bonus tracks from 1979 single and four videoclips.
HUSH "Hometown" Serbia 1998 PGP RTS, CD 412592 Total time: 54 mins / 11 tracks Blues and bluesrock evergreens as well as the own compositions in the same mood. The female solo vocal makes this rough music just soft and gently. All the songs are with English lyrics.

PETAR JELIC "Vidis li ti sto i ja" Serbia 2003 PGP RTS, CD 414558 Total time: 63 mins / 11 tracks Solo album of the ex YU Grupa guitar player. Modern rock with electronic sound, programmed drums, loops etc... But anyway interesting combination of modern rhythms, progressive rock and ethno music.

KERBER "Unplugged" Serbia 1996 / 2006 Take It Or Leave It, 22T55034 Total time: 78 mins / 14 tracks As the title says, there are the best songs of this interesting hardrock group with the new, totally acoustic arrangements. Unexpectedly the old songs became here very sophisticated tunes in really progressive rock style. The additional instruments are flutes, violins and cello. Really beautiful, highly recommended album!
